Beauty can never be better described than by the stroke of a pen of this young writer trying to reach another extreme of his writings. It was “love at first sight” for Frank when he meets a grief-stricken Angela at the lowest point of her life. How would this story unfold? Would Angela say yes to a poet trying to mature in his writings? Would they live happily ever after? This first time ever production combining puppetry and poetry is all set and ready to take arts into new heights. Using puppets to bring poetry to life is just like a dream come true for aspiring poets trying to bring their writings to the hearts of many. Written by local script-writer, Felix Cheong, “One Night Standing” takes centre-stage at The Old Parliament House. The efforts of Mascots And Puppets Specialist and the National Arts Council (Singapore) were finally paid off as a successful performance held in June during the Singapore Arts Festival 2004. |
